NILA VARMAN, meet KIOMBO your adopted elephant

Hello Nila,
My Kenya Travel has done something very unusual (and hopefully welcomed) on your behalf.
We’ve contributed to The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to adopt a baby elephant under your name.
That means you are now a “foster parent” to a baby elephant named KIOMBO.
(Please note: My Kenya Travel has taken care of all expenses on your behalf – so don’t worry there is never any financial commitment required of you, ever, personally. This is just our way of saying thank you for booking a safari through us and showing our appreciation in a way that also has unique added-value to the wildlife of Kenya).
Below there is more information about KIOMBO (so you can get to know him better and learn a little of his history and circumstances, etc). Enjoy!

Why My Kenya Travel Supports The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust

My Kenya Travel likes to actively support the wildlife and unique eco-environment that is the safari in Kenya.
Of course, it’s easy to talk about it. It’s another thing altogether to actually contribute and do something to help support the wildlife.
One way My Kenya Travel actively supports the wildlife in Kenya is through financial contribution to The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to adopt baby elephants in their care.
The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (run by husband and wife, David and Angela Sheldrick) is a well respected and world-recognised wildlife trust that takes ill, abandoned or otherwise “lost” baby elephants into its care. It gives the elephants the best medical attention, love and support… all with the goal of one day re-introducing them back into the wild as healthy, happy elephants.
That’s why My Kenya Travel actively supports The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
Additionally, in the process of adopting baby elephants we thought it would be a nice way to show our appreciation to our valued clients if we adopted elephants under their name. Hence, we have adopted a baby elephant (named Kiombo) on your behalf.
We hope you feel as honoured as we’d like to think you are to be foster parent of a baby elephant. It’s kind of a unique position to be in.

Of course, feel free to share this page and photos of “your baby” elephant with friends on:
